Why Spot Reduction for Weight Loss Doesn't Work

If you have a problem areas on your body that just seem to hold onto their fatty deposits you are not alone. Many people, even those at their ideal body weight, fight these problem areas and never seem to win because they are not attacking them the right way. They spend their time and money trying the latest diets, creams or exercise gadgets to make those unsightly bulges disappear.

What many people don’t understand is that trying to spot reduce by targeting specific exercises to problem body areas does not work. The body is a system and you need to address the entire system if you want optimum results.

So why doesn’t spot reduction work?

One of the problems with people today is they want immediate results and because of that a whole market of weight loss myths and fads have taken advantage of this desire. The reality is that working one area of the body does not address the issues of the entire bodies system.
